Happy Spring! It's a Giveaway!

Good morning, sweet things! I am so excited about this post that I can hardly stand it~ I love giving stuff away, and today's giveaway is especially fantastic to me because I am soooo in love with it! Remember this fabric? Well, it came, and is more lovely in person that I thought it would be. (Okay, so those of you without a serious obsession for fabric may think that I am just being a tad bit flowery with my language today, but I know there are those of you that just get it...) I had some time at my little machine yesterday evening and whipped up this pretty little confection of a twirly skirt and because I love it so much I have just decided to give it to one of you.

I love that this fabric is pretty much seasonless~ it's brown but mixed with tons of great bright colors and will look as great with flip-flops and a tee as it will with boots and tights.

Here's the fine print: There's just one way to enter, so only one entry per person will count. Manic Monday

I was thinking that I might post something of substance today, but after Halle had an HOUR LONG tantrum in protest of nap time, I just don't have it in me. I know you find it hard to believe that either of these two angels could act so wildly, but it's true!

Velvet Mini Bow Clippies

We're going on the road with this show!

So I am actually pretty swamped today with a ton of sewing to do, but here's a look at Halle's new skills. She picked up Remy's harmonica, and she's a natural. (For those of you just tuning in, we are the crazy parents who buy our kids every kind of loud & noisy toy/instrument we can; i.e. full drum kit, harmonica, wooden blocks, shakers, etc.) We kind of live by this verse:

Psalm 98:4 (KJV) Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

I am starting my Christmas wish list for me and the family, and I have found so many cute things on etsy! We've decided that to support handmade, we are going to have an etsy Christmas around here. (So if you're on our list, you might start browsing... ) This shop, The Tiny Fig, has the most wonderful things, and I am in love with this French Toast t-shirt. I first thought it would be great for Rem, but now Trace says he wants one.

Morning Muffins

We are off to an early start this morning! Remy thought that our purchase yesterday of Halloween sprinkles merited making cupcakes. Although I am usually not one to deny anyone cupcakes, I thought that muffins were a better idea for today, so we thawed out some blackberries from our CSA and made some. They ended up looking pretty spooky because of the berries, and the sprinkles seemed quite appropriate.
