Mostly Treats...

I hope y'all had a good Halloween weekend~ we certainly did! After the anticipation of wearing the costume for so many weeks, the day was finally here... Remy could hardly make it through the day and asked 'Is it time to put on our suits?' about a bazillion times. We did realize about half way through the day that Remy didn't really even know what trick-or-treating was. With all the excitement over dragons and monkeys, we had neglected to mention the candy! His eyes were as big as saucers as we told him that people would just give him candy... just for being in his suit. (I hadn't ever thought about it from a child's perspective. It is pretty unbelievable, isn't it!?)

We went over to celebrate with my cousin and her family (see the cute lion and new baby monkey above- those animals are hers!). They live in wonderful neighborhood in Nashville, and the sights were amazing. Almost every house was completely decked out, and the sidewalks were packed. In true Remy style, he did it his own way. He carried his bag to a few doors, but then decided to ditch the sack altogether. He still went to the doors, but when they asked him if he would like candy, he politely said 'No, thank you. I just wanted to breathe fire on you.'. Then he would strike the pose and blow. On one porch he bypassed the passer-outers (nice word, right?) and went straight to have a seat on their porch swing. Needless to say, Mr. Remy was a big hit!

On the move

The little monkey Halle made a few appearances but spent most of the night in the stroller with her cousin, Mary. All that walking is hard work, and carrying these one year olds is even harder on the moms!

I have been pretty good and haven't devoured the candy that Remy did get, though I did sneak a few Tootsie Rolls. Now it's back to the sewing machine. 5 days until my show!~ The countdown is on! I'll be back tomorrow with some pics of the amazing items I received for the Shop Swap. Happy Monday!
