Friday Love

Well, for consistency's sake, I left the title to today's post the same, but I toyed around with 'Friday, I'm Not so in Love' and 'Terrible morning but reasons why my husband rocks'. It's been a little nuts around here, but I'm sure I can think of some lovely things amidst the chaos. I just need to take a deep breath.

Today I'm Loving:

~the 3 year old fashion sense. Remy had school pictures today, and before getting out the door he was determined that the cape was a necessary part of his ensemble. I truly didn't care either way, but in the end he chose to leave it at home. I would never tell him this, but I was a little sad about that. I wonder when the age comes when we lose the imagination to think that capes go with everything and feel too self-conscious to dress like a hero. I know I'm a little too sentimental, but I felt like he grew up a bit this morning.

~my super hero husband who rescued me. The reason for my state this morning is that on the way home from dropping Remy off at preschool, my tire blew. Right on the interstate- ugh. Trace was all the way across town, but he came to my rescue and fixed the tire. Maybe he needs the cape today. (Nobody tell him that, or he'd totally wear it!)

~coupons. Still going strong, and this week we spent $45, but more importantly we saved $30! I was frustrated because we would have saved more but I had to buy diapers and laundry detergent, which are big ticket items.

~Psalm 18:17-19 On the theme of super heros I was searching in my Bible for Psalm that I always read and think of God as a sort of Super Man. (Partly due to my unhealthy Smallville obsession). I love these verses and the imagery David used.

"He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. they confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me."

I think after typing this I am a lot less frazzled and a bit more thankful. My morning wasn't so bad, and I have lots of love in my life. I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of things you love!
