Tutu Tuesday

Sorry, I couldn't resist the alliteration. I have been toying with the idea of making Halle a tutu for quite some time, but I had put it off because she couldn't walk. Now that she's up and running I couldn't wait any longer. And the best thing is that if you ask this girl to dance, she's all over it. Her brother has always been a dancer, but something about a little girl dancing in a tutu just makes a momma happy. (And aren't those chubby thighs to die for?) I am toying with the idea of making some of these to sell. The market on etsy is pretty saturated, but I am thinking that I will make some for the shows I'm doing in Nov. and Dec. I'll keep you posted on that... or you can let me know if you'd like something custom made!

I should note that these happy pictures were taken last night before she found out that we had thrown away her pacifier. Not so happy after that, but we survived. I must admit here that I was one of those moms. Those judgmental childless 'moms' who said things like 'my child will never have a pacifier', and 'my child will never throw a fit in Target'. Somehow with Remy I managed to skate by. He didn't like pacifiers and up until he turned 3 he was an angel in public. Then along comes Halle. And even though she's only 1, this child is a firecracker and button pusher every single day. (My mom calls her my payback child...) So now we are trying to rid ourselves of the terrible pacifier, and it is no walk in the park. (That is my payback for saying such things, I guess!)

Well, now I'm off to do some sewing. Happy tutu Tuesday~ Hope yours is filled with dancing!
