(With right hand raised) Hi, My name is Mandy...

... and I drive a mini-van. (Can I get a "Hi, Mandy!"?) On May 24th, 2010, let it be known in the record books as the day I joined a very exclusive club... Here's the newest addition to our family~ Isn't she pretty?!
Thanks for all your well wishes yesterday~ we are getting over the soreness and drama of the weekend. We did have to spend the better part of yesterday looking at and test-driving our next vehicle, but in the end we found this lovely girl, and I am thrilled!

I am thankful to just be home today. Tuesdays are our Mondays, as Trace has Mondays off. I know several of you are pastor's wives- Here's a question for you: Do you find that weekends are the least relaxing part of your week? I know for us, the weekends are crazy- full of worship practice, services, meals, etc. and then even on Mondays I have Bible Study. Tuesdays are the day for me when I tackle the heaps of laundry and dishes and all the other planning for the week.

I have been thinking of doing some posts on this and would love to know if Time Management is something you would like for me to post on. I am by no means an expert, but I am more than a little obsessive/compulsive, which really works in our favor because I keep us on a pretty regimented schedule, budget & cleaning system. Would some posts on this help y'all out?

Hope you have a great day! It just started storming here, which I love, so I'm going to turn this computer off and do some quiet time listening to the rain.

  1. Time management help PLEASE! I don't know how you do it with two littlies! I'd love to hear about how you fit in exercise, Bible study and cleaning. The quality of some of those things have REALLY gone by the wayside since I had baby #2!

The mini van looks beautiful, by the way! Congrats!!!

  2. Great idea! Love to find out what works for you! The minivan is nice too, I've got a Grand Caravan with Sirius TV, so my daughter loves going on long trips since she can watch Disney, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network!

  3. YES. PLEASE. I would love to hear how you do it all. I am dying for some creative time and can't squeeze it in. H-E-L-P.

I have said so many times that I will never drive a minivan but am scared it's in my future, if gas prices don't ever go down and the more we travel. I KNOW I'll have to have one if a third child is added to the mix. CONGRATS! Let me know how you like it in a couple of weeks.

  4. Congrats on the new Minivan and welcome to the club. I have been driving one for 14 years! Oh yes, must have time management help. I literally stopped cleaning my house a long time ago. Between mid-life, 4 kids, a full time job, etc. I just can't seem to get it all done.

  6. Hi Mandy. I'm out scouting around for new blogs to follow and hoping to get some follow backs (hint!) We are the same age, both Jesus lovers and married to musicians. Nice. Although you have great crafty ability and I have almost none. LOL But I'll deal with it. Hope you have a great weekend and I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you better!
